Streetlight Manifesto

Somewhere In The Between is the epitome of what defines STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO. Jubilant horns and an irresistible swing are just part of the charm of this album, which barrels into one exuberant song after the other. The catchy rhythms, clever lyrics and sheer musicianship is the answer to your search for the album to play at your next shindig. The “all-star league” that the band became was comprised of the talents of two of the biggest New Jersey ska veterans of the ‘90s, Catch 22 and One Cool Guy. Led by the dynamic frontman Tomas Kalnoky, Streetlight Manifesto adhere closely to the roots that have amassed a legion of die-hard ska fanatics while breathing new life into the genre.

Artist Vs Poet EP In Stores!

November 24, 2008

11/18/2008 – Today is a monumental day for five driven individuals from Dallas, Texas, also known as Artist Vs. Poet, as their debut, self-titled EP, hits stores everywhere.  The album was recorded this year at The Tree Fort Studios in Los Angeles, CA with renowned producer Mike Green (Paramore, The Higher, Danger Radio).  Buzznet will be streaming the EP, in its entirety, all week and offering a free downlowd of RunawayClick here to listen to Artist Vs Poet.

The EP will include five tracks featuring a fan favorite Runaway, which is a song about escaping it all.  “This song really connects with fans and gets them energized,” says Craig Calloway. Another crowd favorite is Assurance Closure, which is “a song about having the right kind of closure, and feeling good about it,” according to Craig.

The EP will also feature tracks Lisa Marie, Infallible Remedy, and All In; a special acoustic track, which is dedicated to “persistence and the thought of never giving up,” according to vocalist Tarcy Thomason.  “We decided to make this song acoustic because it’s a little more personal that way,” says Tarcy. “It can be kind of discouraging sometimes when bands first start up.  This song is about just going for what you want really hard and the feelings of finally achieving it.”  In this case, that “something” just happened to be their recent successes as a band.

Although Artist Vs Poet is fairly new to the Fearless Records family (Plain White T’s, Mayday Parade, The Maine), their music and tour schedules show they are a mature band destined for the stage like the others.  Don’t miss them as they come through this month on the Atticus Walk The Plank Tour, with headliners, The Classic Crime, and supporting acts A Change of Pace, and Lower Definition.

BELLA MORTE tour dates

September 23, 2008

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Metropolis recording artists BELLA MORTE has announced a handful of dates on the East Coast, celebrating the release of its upcoming album Beautiful Death (release date: October 7, 2008). “This record takes all the different styles we’ve created in the past and glues them together into one cohesive sound,” explains vocalist Andy Deane. “There are elements of what we’ve done before on this record, but we’re more concerned with moving forward than looking back. Bella Morte fans, old and new are gonna love this one.”

Their confirmed live dates are (more dates to be announced shortly):

Oct. 4 Charlottesville, VA Outback Lodge
Oct. 8 New York, NY Knitting Factory
Oct. 9 Washington DC Club Liv
Oct. 10 Allentown, PA The Sterling Hotel
Oct. 11 Baltimore, MD Talking Head

Reknowned for both its richly layered, dark alternative music and its adrenaline-drenched, dynamic live shows, Bella Morte has built a very loyal and devoted underground following. With Beautiful Death, the band’s growth over the last twelve years makes itself more apparent in the album’s cohesiveness and strength in songwriting. “We consider it the definitive Bella Morte album,” Andy says. “It’s less schizophrenic than our other releases. We’ve created something completely new here by combining elements of what we’ve done in the past.”

From the thundering rhythm section of the opening track and first single/video “Find Forever Gone” to the epic, soaring chorus of “Fades Like a Song” to the chugging guitarwork in “Burn the Sky” to the beautiful piano elegy of the closing track “Nine Hours”, Beautiful Death continues Bella Morte’s much adored and revered legacy, of which bands like AFI and My Chemical Romance has popularized as of late. Beautiful Death retains the band’s signature sound while expanding its breadth. “I’ve really opened myself up on this album, pushed myself harder than ever before,” he replies about the freshness of the new tracks. “I listened to so many different genres of music, everything from Metal to Goth, Hip Hop to Indie, so I’ve gathered a diverse collection of influences along the way. And I’ve matured as a vocalist and a lyricist quite a lot over the years.”

With its strongest record to date just about to be released, the band has big hopes of breaking into the mainsteam with their album and their soon-to-be-announced tour. “Honestly, fans should expect the best damned show on the planet,” concludes Andy, not only confidently but also accurately.

Beautiful Death will be released on Metropolis Records on October 7, 2008.
